Injuries are beginning to pile up for the defending World Series Champion San Francisco Giants. Last night first baseman Brandon Belt strained his groin while chasing down a foul ball, and starting pitcher Jake Peavy reported more back discomfort while throwing a bullpen session yesterday. Both players could be on their way to the 15-day DL.

Thus far I’m loving Steve Pearce and Travis Snider batting 2-3 in the Oriole line-up. After the first two games, Pearce is batting .429/3R/2HR/4 RBI, while Snider is swatting .800/1R/3RBI. Snider should still be available in most mixed leagues.

Miami Marlins starter Matt Latos is looking at a 94.50 ERA this morning after giving up 7 runs on 6 hits after 2/3 of an inning in his start against the Braves last night. No doubt, many owners have already dropped Latos, quickly forgetting his 28-11 record when he was healthy for the Reds in 2012-2013. After an injury plagued season last year, the 27 year-old is trying to work his way back. Maybe worth in stash on your roster.
